For many years, BryanLGH has been nationally recognized for providing the region’s best health care. This recognition demonstrates our commitment to remaining a major referral center for patients from out state Nebraska and the bordering states of Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and South Dakota. Most recent recognition includes:
- HealthGrades 2006 5-Star awards for overall orthopedics, joint replacement and spine surgery.
- 2006 Orthopedic Care Award from HealthGrades.
- Recognition as Nebraska’s only five-time recipient of the Solucient 100 Top Hospitals Award for excellence in cardiovascular care.
- Recognition by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) among its elite hospitals for accomplishments in a national initiative aimed at reducing dangerous ventilator acquired pneumonia (VAP).
- IHI designation as a mentor hospital because of our success in going VAP-free for more than one year.
- VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence for providing excellent intensive care; one of only 20 hospitals nationwide awarded Highest Distinction in preventing VAP.
- Nationally recognized for number of organ donations, helping to save more lives (two consecutive years).
- 2006 Nebraska Newcomen Society Award.
- 2006 Community Health Award (Lincoln-Lancaster County Board of Health).
