Admissions

Admission at a BryanLGH Medical Center is as simple as walking in the door. Our Admissions offices are located on the first floor at each location; please stop by and register as soon as you arrive. There are a few things to consider before arriving at the medical center, including:

Admission Exceptions:

• Emergency Care—Go Directly to the Emergency Department
• Alcohol/ Drug Treatment—Go Directly to the Independence Center Located South of BryanLGH West
• Mental Health Needs—Go to the Mental Health Services Entrance on the South Side of BryanLGH West (located off of Lake Street)

Medications:

Please bring a list of medications you take regularly, but do not bring these medications unless pre-arranged with the medical center staff and/or your physician.

Regulations require that a nurse administer medications that are dispensed from the BryanLGH pharmacy. If you take medications regularly, discuss this with your doctor before admittance so they can order your prescriptions for you.

If you are scheduled for an outpatient procedure, please take approved medications before you arrive at the medical center unless ordered not to do so by your physician.

Advance Directives:

If you have any advance directives such as a living will, healthcare proxy or durable power of attorney for health care, please bring a copy of this with you. This directive will be used as a guide for the decision-making of all care givers should you become unable to communicate your desires about medical care.

ID Bracelet:

You will receive an identification bracelet when you are admitted. Because we must be sure of your accurate patient identification at all times, we ask you to wear your bracelet throughout your stay.

Parking:

BryanLGH East
Patients who drive to BryanLGH East can park free in the visitors' lots and garages north of the medical center. If you expect to be here for several days, ask a staff member to have a security guard check your car periodically. Five-minute parking for passenger loading and unloading is available at the main entrance.

BryanLGH West
Parking for patients and visitors is available for your convenience at the BryanLGH West parking garage. There are also a few spaces north of the front entrance; however, due to construction, only a portion of the lot is open. You may ask for security and vehicle emergency assistance at the front desk or by dialing "0" from within the hospital.
