Educational Seminars
We know that staying healthy is a big concern, so we offer a variety of educational seminars presented by physicians and other professionals. Each quarter we will send you a seminar schedule, however, videotapes of many of the seminars are available for checkout through 55PLUS. Call 402-481-3355 for complete list of videotapes.
Newsletter
The healthcare industry is continually changing. To keep you up-to-date, we send you a complimentary 55PLUS Scene newsletter every few months to help you get the most out of the 55PLUS program. It includes articles on health, lists of new 55PLUS features, information on schedules for educational seminars, locations of special events, travel opportunities and much more.
Advance Directives
Advance directives such as a living will or a durable power of attorney for health care will assist your family in knowing what your wishes are during an illness if you are unable to speak for yourself. Free advance directive forms are available at the 55PLUS office or call (402) 481-3355 and we will mail one to you.
Medication Education Discussion Sessions (MEDS)
Bryan Plaza Pharmacy staff members offer free, personal medication reviews every second and fourth Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. Bring your prescription and non-prescription medications and meet with a BryanLGH pharmacist. Call (402) 481-3355 for an appointment.
Travel Opportunities
You can travel near and far on trips planned for members of 55PLUS, their relatives and friends. This is a great way to meet other 55PLUS members and make new friends. Trips range from one day to two weeks. Trip schedules appear in each issue of the 55PLUS Scene newsletter; or click on the links below to see the individual trip itineraries and to register:

Discounts
Food Service
The BryanLGH Nutrition & Dining Services department offers you a 10 percent discount on your meals only. The discount is for members only and does not include other guests that may be with you. This discount is for meals purchased at the medical center cafeterias and the Bryan Medical Plaza and Pine Lake Medical Plaza cafés. To receive your 10 percent discount, show the cashier your 55PLUS membership card.
Family members, guests, or 55PLUS members who are here for a long period of time and eating frequent meals in the cafeterias may want to take advantage of Nutrition & Dining Services' Frequent Customer Reward Program. Here’s how the program works:
Collect a Reward Coupon for every $3 spent in any of our four BryanLGH dining centers. Five coupons can then be redeemed for $4 off a future purchase. You potentially can save up to 26 percent on all of your food and beverage purchases.
Coupons are available and redeemable at all of our nutrition and dining services locations. The program is not available with any other discount. There is no cash value to the coupons; no change is given to a redeemed purchase of less than $4.
You may only receive 10 percent off or a reward coupon, not both.

Café Express
Café Express is located in the lobby on both the East and West sites. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The Café Express has a Frequent Customer Reward plan whereby you will collect one coupon for every $3 you spend. When you have 10 coupons, you may redeem them for $3 off a future purchase at the Café Express locations only. One dollar gift certificates are available for purchase at either Café Express location. Please note that the 55PLUS discount and complimentary meal coupons are only redeemable in the four dining centers mentioned above.
Gift & Floral Shop
55PLUS members will receive a 15 percent discount on healthcare items and gift items purchased at the BryanLGH Gift & Floral Shops and Bryan Medical Plaza Pharmacy. Just show the cashier your 55PLUS membership card, and ask for your discount. The Gift & Floral Shops are located in the main lobby of each medical center.
Books & More
Books & More is open at the East site in the link that connects the medical center to the Plaza. The shop carries textbooks and supplies for BryanLGH College of Health Sciences students as well as a complete range of adult and children’s books and magazines including book accessories. You will receive a 15 percent discount on items, excluding magazines.
Cab Coupons
Another way 55PLUS saves you money is a 10 percent discount on cab coupons. Because you are a 55PLUS member, you can purchase a $10 coupon book for only $9. Then use your coupon booklet to pay for cab rides anywhere in Lincoln.
LifePointe
Take your dream trip, dance with your granddaughter, build your strength, recover from illness or injury, push your boundaries and gain new confidence. LifePointe is a medically based health improvement center offering a full range of medical, wellness, spa and urgent care services.
The Health & Care at LifePointe Shop offers 55PLUS members a 15 percent discount on purchases.
At LifePointe, we will meet with you, create a wellness or therapy program just for you and provide ongoing personal guidance and support. You will feel a sense of belonging – of being with others who know how you feel and want you to succeed. LifePointe is a medically based health improvement center offering a full range of medical, wellness, spa and urgent care services.
