Rehabilitation Services

Our Mission
We help people help themselves — for life! Physical, occupational and speech therapists assist patients to recover normal movement and function following an illness or injury. Patients of all ages and health conditions develop abilities and strengths by working with our professional therapy staff.

What We Do
Patients of all ages and health conditions develop abilities and strengths through working with our rehabilitation services staff members. We use a team approach that includes physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology.

Physical therapists work to regain normal movement and functional dependence for patients recovering from illness or injury. Therapists assess patients' muscle strength, flexibility, coordination, posture and mobility skills. Exercise and physical treatment techniques help relieve pain and promote patients' return to full functional abilities. Injury prevention through assessment and education helps patients manage their physical challenges while living their lives.

Occupational therapists work with people of all ages who have physical, developmental or cognitive (thinking) difficulties in daily life skills. Occupational therapists assess and treat patients' physical and mental skills to help them feed themselves, bathe, dress and work. Helping people to overcome difficulties to independently perform daily living skills is what occupational therapists do best. Speech and language pathologists are experts at evaluating and treating people with communication difficulties that involve speaking, thinking, reading, writing and/or reduced hearing due to neurological problems.

Speech pathologists also assess and treat swallowing disorders resulting from injury or illness. They provide exercises and techniques to improve all aspects of communication and to prevent choking when eating.
